Best Years Care Recruitment Agency: We are an Introductory Agency that sources and introduces professional, self-employed carers to elderly, disabled or any other adult clients in need of being cared for in their own homes.
Our directors: Priscilla and Angeline have 34 years of work experience in the care industry between them. They have each worked in elderly residential and nursing Care Homes.
They have worked with adults living with learning disabilities, NHS units caring for people with severe as well as profound mental and physical disabilities. They have worked in NHS Mental health hospitals and NHS mental health residential homes looking after adults suffering conditions like schizophrenia, dementia, bipolar, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, personality disorders, and many other complications.
Priscilla did Social Studies at Leeds Beckett University. Having worked in every sector of the care system they have all the confidence to provide excellent care for your loved ones.
OUR ETHOS
We believe that:
- Our clients thrive better in the familiar environment which is their own home.
- It is heart-breaking to imagine our loved ones having to leave the homes that they, for many years built and took pride in.
- We believe that, for an elderly person, leaving home is the most traumatic thing that happens in their lives and is to them, a loss beyond description.
- Our clients thrive better with just one helper (a live-in carer) in their home than having teams of home carers who are always rushed off their feet coming intermittently to do small jobs like food preparation, personal care etc.
- One live-in carer at a time can provide better quality work for them 24 hours a day and this is value for their money.
- Our clients thrive better with one carer because they get to know them, and the carer gets to know the client a lot better, and a comfortable more trusting relationship is cultivated.
- Our clients thrive with a live-in carer as this does not disrupt their social lives. They still have the liberty to invite their loved ones into their home as well as access their familiar local facilities.
- For our clients, relationships and being in their communities means everything to them and is best for their general wellbeing.
- Our carers are professionals who can give them all the support at home and even travel with them to the holiday destinations that they have always cherished.
